SELECTED PERFORMANCES
July, 2005—Sound designer, composer, performer, and lead audio engineer for The Judas Cradle, an operatic new media work. Collaboration with performance artist Ron Athey and soprano Juliana Snapper. Four performances at The Redcat Theater, Los Angeles.

April-June, 2005—The Judas Cradle, tour of Ireland and the United Kingdom as part of the Fierce Festival, Birmingham, UK. Performed at the Granary Theatre, Cork, Ireland; Colchester Arts Centre, Colchester, UK; Chapter Arts Centre, Cardiff, Wales; Contact Theatre, Manchester; UK, 291 Gallery Hackney, London, UK; Warwick Arts Centre, Coventry, UK; Centre for Contemporary Arts, Glasgow, Scotland.

June, 2003—Builder, programmer, composer, and performer for Silverworn, an interactive electronics and dance piece. Collaboration with choreographer Marina Wolf. A skirt made of forks, knives, and spoons was augmented with microphones made of piezoelectric elements and modified to work as midi controller, triggering audio samples in a conventional Macintosh computer. Performed at Venue 9 as part of the Electric Words Festival, San Francisco.

May, 2003—Builder, composer, and performer for Tethered, a solo performance piece with live electronics. Bathroom scales were chained to my ankles and dragged around Justin Hermann Plaza, San Francisco, accompanied by found audio. Documented by the San Francisco Chronicle.

SELECTED GALLERY INSTALLATIONS
January, 2004—Five pieces from Iron Maidens, an interactive audio and obsessively detailed sculpture work, at Cellspace, San Francisco.

October, 2003—Twelve pieces from Iron Maidens at the San Francisco Design Museum.

May, 2003—Full installation of Iron Maidens at Mills College, Oakland, CA. Twenty five sculptures of women’s torsos, each covered in mosaics of found objects, were hung in a grand resonant hallway. Speakers were mounted over the sculptures, like heads, and as the viewer walked through the space, breathing sounds were triggered from each of the sculptures, each observer creating a counterpoint of electronic sighs.

November, 2002—Partial installation of Iron Maidens at Luna Sea Gallery, San Francisco.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
2001-present. Freelance sound designer and audio engineer. Worked on a variety of contract audio projects. Includes acting as a recording engineer and producer for independent CD recordings; sound design and audio engineering for live theater, dance, music, and new media work; and audio editing for film.

2002-2003. Graduate assistant, music department, Mills College. Audio engineer and production support for the Mills College Concert series.

2001-2003. Music teacher, East Bay Center for the Performing Arts, Richmond, CA. Composition, electronics, and trumpet teacher at school for underserved youth. Responsible for group and individual instruction, curriculum development, and student advocacy.

2001-2003. Business Manager, Pleiades Records, Berkeley, CA. Administrator, audio consultant, and generalist for an independent record label.

1999-2001. Program Coordinator, Other Minds, San Francisco. Administrator, production manager, and generalist for an experimental music festival.
